Abstract

In India people are crazy about songs and they like to groove on fun tunes. Music is the soul of any movie or cinema art that's why this research is conducted to examine the Punjabi songs influence on youth viewership. Many youths are attracted towards the Punjabi songs. The music, beats, and composition of Punjabi music are the main reasons for its enormous appeal. These characteristics are what get people moving to these tunes even when they only half or completely comprehend the lyrics. The entire song is great for feeling good to. Even in places where Punjabi is not spoken, these songs are the ones that are played the most in clubs and parties. Hindi and English phrases blend beautifully with Punjabi lyrics as well. You'll note that a lot of popular Hindi soundtracks also contain some Punjabi material. Similar to this, many modern Punjabi songs contain English rap music and lyrics in the spaces between the stanzas. Overall, the Punjabi language and its inhabitants are renowned for their liveliness and diversity. Although it is exceedingly deep and rich, people in the Hindi Belt are unaware of it. Maybe it's because the downtrodden and conservative masses easily portray Punjabis and Punjabi culture as liberal, entertaining or loud music, bountiful, and idealistic. Because younger generations enjoy listening to and dancing to upbeat party dance songs in Punjabi music, this is the case. This study is conducted to understand the influence of Punjabi songs on youth. Questionnaire is used for this research and took 20 people as sample who listens songs and watched Bollywood movies. And we got the positive results that yes youth get influence and viewership get affected by Punjabi songs influence. Punjabi flavor makes songs more entertaining and market demand is also proving that.
